{26 weeks. Happy St. Patrick's Day!}

Lucky Charms snack for St. Pats

Editors note: I promised myself when I started this pregnancy blog that I was going to be completely honest and raw with myself and my followers. While I enjoy pregnancy, there are definitely hard times too. No pregnancy is perfect I am learning. So, forewarning, I do quite a bit of complaining in this post. It does by no means mean I am ungrateful for the opportunity to carry this baby. I am just being honest and want to remember every single detail when I go back and read this 2 years from now.

How far along? 26 weeks
Total weight gain? I am still hovering at around 17 pounds. Hoping to only gain about 1/2 pound a week until delivery putting me at no more than 30 pounds gained.  As you can see, this post compared to last week…I have officially popped. Either that or she is in a really weird position making my stomach shoot out.
Maternity clothes? Yes, maternity pants/jeans and maternity leggings. Those are the most comfortable. Can't wait to wear some Spring dresses, though. This dress I am wearing is not maternity from ASOS.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep? Love it.
Best moment this week? I played a little game with baby girl this past week. There was some sort of body part (pretty sure it was a fist) sticking out of the right side of my stomach. I decided to see if I could poke it back in...sure enough, I could. Then, the next thing you know, she decided to poke it back out. This went back and forth for a bit until I decided to leave her alone.  :P
Miss anything? I miss feeling comfortable...more on this later.
Food cravings? A girl I follow on Instagram posted the most amazing looking St. Patrick's Day donut last night. I had to have one so my husband went out and found one for me. I devoured it with a big ol' glass of milk. This was really the first sugary craving I have had. Everything else has been fruity.
Anything making you queasy or sick? No.
Gender? Girl
Labor signs? This is an unfortunate yes. Wednesday around 3:45 pm, I started having some really bad pains all over my stomach at work. At first I thought they were gas pains but when they didn't go away and intensified within the hour, I decided to call the doctor. We were pretty sure they weren't just Braxton Hicks contractions because they were so painful, I couldn't even talk. They were also coming every 10 minutes. The doctor told me to go home, take Tylenol, lay down and drink a lot of water. So that is what I did. The doctor said if they lasted more than three hours, to go to labor and delivery. This really scared me because I was only 25 weeks at the time. The pains ended up lasting exactly 3 hours and then magically subsided. I think I might have just overdone it. It has been a particularly stressful couple of weeks preparing to move in our house and getting the loan approved has been a complete nightmare...not because of our personal finances or credit score, but because the bank(loan officer) literally screwed everything up during the official application process and it kicked us out of the system. In turn, we had to re-apply and go with a completely different loan application because we were unable to apply for the loan that we originally chose putting us two weeks behind and making our monthly payments $200 more than we originally budged for. Ughhhh, this mama was mad!!! Needless to say, if you live in Kansas City...seriously consider which bank you decide to go with for a home loan application and make sure your loan officer is a good communicator and is efficient. {End Rant} Thank goodness for my husband. He stayed on top of all of this and we found out Friday that we were officially approved. It was hard work though.
Movement? Oh yeah...and it is quite uncomfortable. Baby is situated horizontal/sideways (transverse) which is so uncomfortable for me. Her head is on my right hip and her feet dance on my left hip. This puts a ton of pressure on my pelvis and lower back and makes it uncomfortable no matter what position I am in. I read that this is common for 26 weeks and then baby would most likely re-position between weeks 30-33 but holy cow, I don't know if I can handle that for much longer with a move ahead of us and two trips planned.
Symptoms? I just have not felt good this week, bottom line. I hate to complain but geez. I feel like I am already 35 weeks pregnant because of how uncomfortable I am and I know I still have quite a ways to go. My back hurts, my pelvis hurts, my hips hurt when I sleep, and I am exhausted. I literally have no energy. I hope and I pray that some of these things resolve themselves within the week. My belly has also officially popped and feels so heavy to carry around. It's only going to get heavier...I know.
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time? I have been very weepy this week. I think it's just because it has been an emotional week for me and I physically just don't feel well.
Looking forward to? Getting this move over with. We close on our house Thursday and move Friday. Then, we have Saturday and Sunday to get things in somewhat in order before we head back to work Monday.

Thanks for reading!
