{24 Weeks and Some Plush Toys}

Sorry for the goofy, arctic winter picture. Tyler and I had just returned from a walk.  BRRRR.

Restoration Hardware Baby & Child / Anthropologie
Can we all just take a moment and admire how stinkin' cute these plush toys are? My mom thinks the one on the left is so ugly it's cute. :P
I am slowly starting to purchase little toys and decorations for her nursery. I can't wait for you all to see the final nursery reveal once we get it all set up. Hopefully, I will have that up in May.

How far along? 24 weeks
Total weight gain? I am starting to get embarrassed when I type this. I've gained probably 16/17 pounds. The doctor said that I am on track to gain 30-35 pounds but that is okay because I am a bit taller. I also haven't been able to work out this whole pregnancy because I have been on pelvic rest. That makes a huge difference when you go from running outside every day to doing nothing. I can, however, start taking long walks and being a bit more active. I got the clearance for that yesterday!
Maternity clothes? Just maternity jeans and leggings
Stretch marks? Nope! Clarin's Body Tonic Oil seems to be keeping me greased up! :P
Sleep? My sleep hasn't been that great this past week. I think I have a lot of worries right now…closing on our house, packing, moving…I spend a lot of time thinking about that when I wake up at 2:00am every single morning. I haven't been good about falling back asleep after that either. I am starting to get a little anxiety because we need to get moved in and start getting things settled before she gets here. I am a perfectionist and need to just let go of my worries but it is hard.
Best moment this week? My doctor's appointment yesterday. I didn't share this in my earlier posts, but at our 20 week anatomy ultrasound, the tech noticed three Choroid Plexus Cysts on our baby's brain. She explained to us that the fetal brain may create these cysts as a normal part of development. She also said that they are usually only temporary and most of the time, will disappear before the 28th week of pregnancy. But, in some cases, they don't. She then proceeded to tell me not to google it. But obviously, I had to do a little research. If they don't disappear, they could be considered "soft markers" for certain chromosomal abnormalities such as Trisomy 18 or Down Syndrome. We have been very worried for the past 4 weeks but didn't share this news with anyone as I personally don't like to share bad news unless it's time to worry. I went yesterday for our normal 24 week appointment and follow up ultrasound and the cysts were completely gone. They were just there as a part of her normal development. God is so good. She is beautiful, healthy and was even trying to suck on her toes in the ultrasound. Very flexibly young lady if you ask me. She was also measuring in the 80th percentile weighing in at 1 pound 10 ounces. Please say a quick prayer for me that I don't deliver a 10 pound baby because Tyler and I are both fairly small human beings. Haha! To those of you that did know about this news from our previous appointment, thank you for praying for our baby and keeping us in your thoughts.
Miss anything? I am starting to get to the point where I need help sitting up. My stomach muscles have been replaced with baby therefore, it is harder to sit back up when I am leaning on my back. Baby is getting big and I am starting to see the struggles of completing regular every day activities.
Food cravings? Grapes and cubed cheddar cheese.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Yeah, actually I have been feeling pretty nauseated in the mornings when I wake up again. As soon as I eat something, it goes away but that doesn't stop me from the dry heaves until I get something in my stomach.
Gender? Girl
Labor signs? No
Movement? She is very active and I can feel it. She is probably just being a monkey and trying to suck her toes.
Symptoms? A little bit of nausea and really bad bloating at the end of the day. I really hate that feeling and am looking forward to not dealing with that when she is finally here. My back is also starting to ache a bit. Tyler is good about rubbing it for me though.
Belly button in or out? In…However, it is starting to look a bit different.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time? This past week was tough for me. Pretty stressful. I am definitely happy but I feel like last week I was more moody than I was happy. I just have been worried about several things I think.
Looking forward to? *Hopefully*, closing on our house next week. I will keep you all posted in the next post. Also, my parents have so kindly offered to buy our nursery rocker/glider for us so we are headed to Lawrence, Kansas on Thursday to a little baby boutique to pick it up. So excited for you all to see pictures of it. It is so adorable and modern. I love it. Perfect for our Modern Danish/Mid-Century nursery design.

Thanks for reading!
